Approval Letter - Disabled Students' Allowance

DSA Approval

You will need to wait for an approval letter from your DSA Funding Provider before you arrange a DSA Needs Assessment. They will look at your application and let you know whether you qualify for Disabled Students' Allowances.

DSA Approval Letter Approval Letter example

Your DSA Funding Provider will send you an approval letter to let you know if you qualify for the Disabled Students' Allowance. You may wish to inform a Disability Adviser at your University or College, letting them know that you have received DSA approval.

If the letter says that you do not qualify for the Disabled Students' Allowance, you may find it helpful to contact a Disability Adviser at your University or College.

After you receive the approval letter, you can go ahead and arrange your Needs Assessment at a location that suits you; some Needs Assessment Centres may even be able to undertake Home Visits. You should attempt to do this as soon as possible after receiving DSA approval

Where possible let a Disability Advisor know who you are contacting, this is not compulsory.

You can choose any DSA Needs Assessment Centre that best suits your location from our Needs Assessment Centre Directory
